It’s a 12 hour travel day for us. Our plan is to stop in Arizona and finish the last leg tomorrow. I saw snow-capped mountains for the first time today while traveling through New Mexico. They were every bit as wonderful as in the picture books. Has anyone ever told me how big and blue the sky is here? If they did, I don’t recall it. Maybe it is because you have to see it for yourself to really appreciate it. I swear it is 3 times as big as the Texas sky. The mesas are beautiful, ranging from bright orange, to brown, to adobe in color. These contrasted with the big blue sky are providing a distraction from the long hours on the road. Despite all of the beauty, so much uncertainty exists. Oh the anxiety! I have pulled over twice today to dry-heave until the point of muscle spasms. What have I done? What am I doing?
I have just realized two things that I accidentally left behind; my laptop and my straw hat. I can replace the computer easily when we get to our destination. But, do they sell American hats in Nevada? If so, I need one with a rose shaped crown and a flat brim, please and thank you.
